The FRIENDS OF ELISE BISSCHOP association is a cultural, historical, educational, and charitable association with a spiritual dimension. Its purpose is to faithfully preserve and perpetuate the memory of Élise BISSCHOP, in particular her love of children and nature. It aims to make her writings known, to promote documents concerning her, to exercise sustained attention to what is said about her person and about her, and to safeguard her material environment. It thus provides spiritual and material support for the study of her cause for beatification. (Excerpt from the aims).
The association's logo features a bird because Elise had a special love for the lark: the flight and song of the larks around her native farm inspired her greatly. For Elise, song, combined with the effort to climb ever higher, signifies the inner life of man, called by God to true joy.

“And to think I had a little poet sister in Heaven and I didn't know it! Many thanks to the fabulous Anne Silberstein for introducing me to her and offering me this competition…”
“It is a joy to participate in this poetic event in honor of Élise Bisschop, whose work I discovered with joy and whose life story edified me.”
