Why a cause for beatification?

A series of surprising events, such as finding multiple traces of Elise despite the absence of family and very few witnesses, prompted the Church authorities to investigate.

Elise is known for her joy, her love of nature, her respect for children, her adoration for Jesus, her courage in illness, her devoted single life, her literary abilities, her loving and constructive presence in civil life.

Where is it with beatification process?

We are waiting for the investigation commissions to have completed their analysis before proceeding with the closure of the case at the diocesan level. The complete file can then be sent to Rome.

Was Elise an environmentalist?

No, Elise was not concerned about the survival of nature; she put her trust in God. Elise said that human beings must above all recognize in Christ the source of all Love and adhere to Him with all their heart.
